Alexander McQueen, 1747-100565

This is an inspired, one-off Alexander McQueen dress from his 2015 collection. To describe this dress as elegant and sophisticated would be to understate its beauty. It is a floor-length, white gown made from acetato. Acetato is a unique, modern material made from a combination of satin and rayon, which drapes over a woman’s figure without clinging. Put another way, this dress and its unique material accentuates a woman’s natural beauties in a way that is subtle in its allure. The dress has a round next line and is sleeveless. Although it is a simple column dress, it’s the cut-ins in the front and back that draws the attention of others and identifies this dress as sophisticated.

I purchased the dress from David Jones Bridal in Sydney and paid $5000. The dress tag size is 42 European, but, as a guide, I usually wear a size 8 and could send you my exact measurements on request. The length of the dress from shoulder to hem is 152.50 cm (I am 170 cm and the heels I wore on the day were 8 cm; alterations to the length could be easily made though) and includes built-in padded bra cups. The dress has not been dry cleaned, but could arrange this at request.
