About the Dress

MWL Georgie V2 crepe with tulle wings

This dress was the most magical dress to wear on my special day. It was so soft and comfortable (so comfortable I wore it until 3am 😅) and it is so flattering (coming from someone who has NEVER felt she looked nice in anything she wore).

I purchased the dress as a size 14 but had alterations due to weight loss prior to my wedding. It now equates to a size 10 maybe a 12 around the hips, but measurements at my last fitting were:

Bust: 94cm (without bra)
Waist: 78cm
Hips: 98cm

There is still extra fabric where the dress was taken in so I imagine it could be taken out slightly around the waist/hips if needed as well.

I purchased the dress from Confetti in Hobart for $3,300 + the tulle wings which I believe retail for $300.

The dress was ordered to suit a DD bra cup size (although I would have been closer to a D by the wedding and it was fine I just had the straps adjusted shorter). I opted for a higher back than the original, original deep V neckline & it has also had press studs attached to the inside of the bust as I wore a bodysuit underneath which I could clip to the dress to keep anything from falling out (I had the inner cups removed as they shaped my breasts funny, but you could add some in if you prefer).

It has a beautiful long train which does have slight imperfections (bobbling of the fabric due to being dragged across leaves etc and a couple of small pulls) due to the wedding being at a farm, but HARDLY noticeable (and the length has not been altered so plenty of room for adjustments (I am 172cm and wore 10cm heels).

There are some minor marks which have not been removed by dry cleaning but are extremely faint and at the base of the dress.

The dress has been dry cleaned, bagged and stored since April 2021.

The tulle wings were only worn for the ceremony & photos immediately after before being removed. There is one small mark on each one and a couple of small pin holes but they are close to the bottom and only noticeable if you spread them right out.
