The Dress

I purchased this dress from the Vivienne Westwood bridal boutique on Davies St in 2021 and was unable to wear it to my wedding due to a drastic weight change.
This is a rare find from the Vivienne Westwood archive and is no longer available to purchase new. The silk ties can be styled multiple ways; off the shoulder, halter neck, strapless or one-shoulder.
The fabric is a classic Vivienne Westwood design called 'Absence of Roses', featuring the outline of roses printed in white on ivory silk.
The bodice is corseted and fastens with a zip, as is customary for Westwood corsets. The fabric drapes beautifully around the torso and then flows into a skirt with a slit, with extra fabric draped at the back for added drama.
The dress has never been worn or altered and has no flaws. A couple of barely visible marks are at the bottom of the hem, which came from being stored in the Vivienne Westwood archive. These faint marks will most likely be removed when hemming the dress anyway, as it is currently unaltered and very long - for context I am 175cm and wearing 9cm heels in the last photo.
This dress would fit a UK 10/12, the photos were taken on a size 8 mannequin so does not do it justice - the dress looks much better when actually on the body, rather than hung up or on a mannequin, as the corsetry and draping is made for the female form.
The dress is in its original packaging; a protective plastic layer and a Vivienne Westwood cotton dust bag.
