The Dress

This amazing dress never had the chance to be worn and is dying to make an appearance on someone's special day.

I bought it for a 6/2020 wedding, but unfortunately was never able to wear it. It's an original Antonio Gual size 16. The second I tried it on, the quality and craftsmanship stood out. The detail and structural integrity--from boning and raw silk material--give it a luxurious, old-world feel. I'm obsessed with the double train (front and back) that feel dramatic, architectural and surprisingly comfortable. It hugs at the waist and down through the legs to give the perfect fit-and-flare shape while still allowing you to break down even the most complex dance move. The strapless sweetheart neckline is elegant and secure enough to prevent the annoying tugging/pulling that strapless necklines usually cause. Veil is not included.

There were alterations done to the neckline around the bust, waistline and down through the hips. There is also a corset sewn inside that could be removed with alterations. The hemline was never altered, so this is perfect for many heights.

This dress is truly one-of-a-kind and effortlessly classic.

Alterations

I customized the fold at the top of the neckline to be slightly longer than the original. Boning around the bodice was added, waist was slightly taken in and corset was added (Dominique, Ivory, 36DD). It's also had a button added for a moderate American bustle.
