Mermaid

I bought this dress (called The Pearly) in London in August 2014 from British designers Belle and Bunty. I was looking for something simple but very feminine and elegant. I fell in love with their vintage style, beautiful use of silk and lace and flattering silhouettes and chose The Pearly dress.

The Pearly is 100% silk with lace detail over the fitted bodice, It has a bias fishtail skirt which creates a beautiful silhouette, and a low v-back with pretty fluttering sleeves. It is Ivory, size 10 but brought in slightly on the side seams so would fit a size 8-10. I also had a small finger loop added to the puddle train so you can lift the train for dancing.

I am 168cm tall and wore medium sized high heels.

I wore the Ultimo brand low back strapless bra with this dress which gave excellent support and did not show at all.

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in immaculate condition, it looks and feels as new.

The dress is super elegant and feminine and could be styled and accessorised to suit different looks. The small details on this dress, such as the lace top, are gorgeous. I absolutely loved wearing this beautiful dress and really hope it gets worn again.
