The Dress

I bought this dress for my wedding in 2020, but our plans had to change and I never got to wear it! It's lovely and well made, but we are having a very different wedding than we thought, so it's a bit much for me now. I hope someone can give it a good party!

I bought it used from a consignment shop and had alterations made for it to fit me. Originally it had a corset back, which I replaced with a zipper (I bet it could go back to corset if desired). It was also longer, but I wanted a tea length dress, so I had it shortened. If you'd like, I can send you the extra fabric in case you'd like to use it for something (alterations, veil/accessories, etc.). I had pockets put in and straps added. I really wanted it to be functional and dance- proof! I think it stands up to the task. It has a liner, tulle layers, outer liner, and lace layer. The weight of the skirt gives it the most fun and flirty spins- almost like a circle skirt! There are padded cups in the top, which are just tacked in and easy to remove or change out (my boobs are not that big, trust me). There is sturdy boning in the too, and the hips are very open.
The waist is the trickiest part of the fit for me, coming in at 28" with no wiggle room, but like I said, it was a much larger dress when it had a corset back.
