Anna Campbell, Ruby

This dress was hand-made in Melbourne by the amazing team at Anna Campbell and was everything I hoped for on my wedding day.

Inspired by French romance, the Anna Campbell dresses are the epitome of timeless, classic elegance and are designed to create a beautiful silhouette for the bride seeking to embody both grace and glamour in a custom crafted gown.

This customised ‘Ruby’ dress is a unique creation based on the most recent ‘Made-to-Measure’ Gossamer collection. I worked closely with the lovely stylists to customise the back into a gorgeous ‘growing vine’ design. When I tried it on for the first time I was shocked by how light it was & how easily I could move despite the intricate lacework and slim-line look.

The dress was made to my measurements and I am generally a size 8-10 with a size 10B/C cup and 176cm tall. The bust is lightly padded so can be worn with or without a bra. The most amazing thing about Anna Campbell dresses is her unique ‘wrap around’ elasticised waist design, which enables the waist/bust to be extremely versatile & adjustable in size (e.g. anywhere from size 6-12 and small to full bust). In order to create the silhouette, the underlay is more fitted over the hips so is more of a standard size 10 (but would easily fit smaller).

It has been worn only once in December 2014 and has been professionally dry cleaned by the store used by Anna Campbell and comes in its original AC storage bag.
