The Dress

This is a gorgeous, comfortable, super flattering dress that is also practical (it has pockets!). It is in excellent condition. I loved wearing it at my wedding and want it to be enjoyed again for someone's special day! Our day was honestly phenomenal, and we're happily married. So, it's coming from a good place!

Some things I love about it - elegant and classic shape, super comfortable, no need to hold in your stomach, and it has POCKETS. One on each side. Very handy for holding your vows, a handkerchief, or momento. It's snug around your torso, and feels secure. It would easily accommodate someone with a larger bust (by one or many sizes up), and I think that would be really flattering! It has bust cups sewn in for my 34A size - easily removable by undoing a few stiches, and they can easily be swapped with another size by a professional dress tailor when they make any other alterations (like fine-tuning the length to your height and shoe thickness).

I'm 5'7 - 5'8 and wore flats and the dress grazed the ground perfectly. No tripping.

One of my favorite parts of my wedding was sitting down with just my husband for a short break and bite to eat after our vows. Sitting on the couch, my dress was super flouncy (large and fluffy?) all around me, and it was such an awesome sight to look down and have a princess moment.

It has a French bustle (aka hidden, sewn-in buttons on the bottom of the train so you can button up the train after your ceremony so no one steps on it and so you don't trip on it while dancing). Most of my photos show it bustled. Happy to share more photos.

The outer material is linen with beautiful stitching. I have photos of the detail if you'd like to see. Loved how this gave a natural element to the dress - it's a big aspect that sold me on it in the store, after trying on dozens. There are also optional removable cotton spaghetti straps, and a few pieces of extra fabric from when they shortened the length.

The dress has been professionally cleaned and preserved so that it stays clean and fresh for its new owner. I have stored it in a custom muslin dress bag hanging up.

I wore no bra (I had bust cups sewn in), no shareware, just a cotton slip (like a skirt) to make sure there was no see-through aspect down there! The cotton slip also made it so comfortable, from the heat of the ceremony (full sun in summer) through the cooler evening! I can tell you where to buy the same one if you like.

Alterations

I had some minor alterations done at a professional wedding dress tailoring house. The length was shortened to suit my height in ~1cm flats. Padded bust cups were sewn in with a few stitches. These can easily be removed or swapped out for another style. I think the dress would look great on someone with a larger bust. The dress is not tight at all below the torso, so no need to worry about tightness on your stomach when you eat, or making sure it fits there. You just need to check it's not too short for you, and that it would fit your torso. The torso has some elastic in it and is secured with wide bands that hook into each other, as well as a zipper and buttons (buttons are functional but for decoration). I am happy to send detailed measurements or check your measurements against the dress to make sure it would fit your body. :)
