The Dress

This is a custom made and custom designed dress, combining all of my favourite elements in a single dress: minimal but elegant design, off the shoulder, sweetheart neckline with a subtle ‘V’ dip, long sleeves, flattering V shape in the back, single style fabric in light ivory in an A line style silhouette with train at the back. There is a single invisible zip at the back and a plain belt built into the dress. This dress gracefully opens shoulders and emphasizes collarbones. I wanted a simple dress, constructed and structured in a way that did not require uncomfortable and restrictive underwear or underskirts. It is fully lined, with boning stitched into the bodice and bra cups gently attached on the inside (these are only attached with few stitches in case they are not the right size or not required at all (can be worn completely braless). A unique part of this dress design and its stitching is the fact that nude netting is not required across collarbones and the back to hold its shape, only in the small cleavage V opening. This means that you can freely move in the dress without the any ‘invisible’ netting being very visible in all your photos or not correctly matching you skin colour. The dress moves so easily and lightly and will look amazing in pictures, an effortless elegance.

I could not find a ready made dress that had everything I liked, and this dress exceeded my expectations in every way. The pictures truly do not do it justice, in particular to the high quality fabric that was selected due to its softness, weight (heavy enough to fall nicely and hold shape but light enough to feel comfortable the whole day) and its gentle light ivory shade.

I am 170cm tall and was planning to wear high heels with the dress so there is plenty of length on the skirt which can be made shorter to suit your desired length.

This dress cost £1500 to create and is in perfect, unworn condition.
