The Dress
The dress has a lot of beading and buttons all the way down the back. There is a spot near the right armpit where a single strand of beading is missing (approximately 1 inch). When I purchased the dress, i bought it as a sample and at the time it was also missing beads in a few spots. The shop was able to replace the missing beading before I took it home. I’m sure a bridal seamstress could do the same. There are built in bra cups, but I also wore a backless bra the day of. It was very comfortable and easy to sit in. Our wedding was very small with no dancing and the dress was worn for 5 hours. The dress was dry cleaned right after the wedding and has been hanging in the bag in our smoke free home.
Alterations
I am 5’4” and wore 2.5 inch heels the day of the wedding. The dress was hemmed to that length [removed]. My seamstress added a three button overbustle style bustle and an additional clasp to the back of the dress so it would lie flush against my skin without tape. She also took the dress in around my hips to make the fit more flattering.
