The Dress

This dress is absolutely beautiful and the fabric makes it look so expensive in comparison to some other dresses I tried on in this similar style.The fabric is very stretchy and is also very light (again, especially in comparison to some of the other dresses I tried). I was so comfortable the whole day and was never too hot, even though it was 27 degrees celsius that day.

For some reason, the size 0 was still quite big on me and I had to get it taken in. I usually buy a 26 in jeans and have to get the waist taken in to about a 25, so I am not stick thin and do have a booty (stretchy fabric!). I also got it taken in around the butt so that it was more fitted and added a bustle. The button came off the bustle but the piece it attaches to is still intact, so thats an easy fix.

The bottom edges got dirty from wear (dragging on the ground when my train was down), but I did have the dress dry cleaned immediately after the wedding. It came out quite well but is not 100% back to what it was brand new. It is not very noticeable (since its the bottom underside of the dress) and can be dry cleaned again.

The dress retails for $3,800 plus taxes. With taxes and alterations, I paid close to $4,500 for this dress.

Alterations

Was taken in at the waist and around the hips to make it more fitted on the bum. The straps were also moved down slightly (at the back) from their original placing so that that they do not slide off as easily as the original placing did.
