The Dress

From the moment I tried this dress on, I knew it was the one! A stunning intricate dress that makes you feel like an absolute princess. It has the most amazing train for the ceremony, but when you are ready to party, it has a bustle which brings the dress to floor-length.

As a larger person, I wanted to find something that would make me feel both comfortable and confident on my wedding day - this dress did just that. So many comments on how amazing the dress is on the day and afterward. Once I was able to see the photo's I had absolutely no regrets.

I particularly love this dress as it is fitted for your bust and waist, but then flows from just above the navel out - so no need for any restrictive tummy suckers or awkward photo's where you can see any 'lumps and bumps'. I wore it the whole night, it is super comfortable - which is surprising given the weight of the dress. Easy to take on and off with zipper access. You can put the elastics around the buttons if you choose - I did not as I didn't see the need so the ties are still as new.

The dress is a size 60 Italian dress... but I found the conversion to AU a bit odd as I am normally not the size it suggests. I would think this dress would be suitable for a size 18 - 24AU as it is not so dependant on your waist and hip size. The bust in the dress is quite generous, so if you're finding it hard to find a dress that fits your bust - this one is for you!

It has a gorgeous almost peach undertone with an ivory tulle overlay that sparkles when you see it. The beading work is to die for and I particularly loved the leaf detail that extended past the upper waste, it seemed to draw the eye down and has a slimming effect.

My hope is that this dress can bring another person just as much joy as it has for me.

Alterations

I have had the dress altered already, so that will save you the time and expense. It has cup inserts already to perk the girls up a bit, has been shaped nicely to the bust, taken up to length, and added a bustle in. All up - $1,000 worth of alternations. I have included this cost into the retail price as it is a big consideration when you are choosing between new and pre-loved.
