The Dress

The Athena dress by Suzanne Neville is the perfect choice for any bride who wants to feel elegant and sexy on her wedding day. The beautiful fit-and-flare silhouette is complemented by a cathedral length train with added concealed hooks for a flawless and comfortable look (an over-bustle or the American bustle). The Athena dress is beautifully crafted and the boning in the dress is designed to support and hold everything together.

The beautiful lace is accented by a light grey underlay, which makes the lace pop and stand out. A bustier corset (size 34C- cost additional $200) was added to the dress to smooth out any possible folds and creases while wearing the dress. To add an extra oomph I am also including a tulle underskirt (cost additional $70), which gives additional volume and makes it easier to walk in the dress on your wedding day (when I changed into a shorter heel it lifted the dress by an extra inch!)

This dress was worn for my wedding in August 2018. Dress has been professionally cleaned and is in crisp condition to be worn again.

Quality and structure of the dress were very important to me on my wedding day, as I wanted to look my best from every angle. After trying on over a hundred gowns across multiple wedding salons in NYC and nearby states, I finally found my dream gown that made me feel like the Greek goddess that it’s named after.

Alterations

Dress was professionally altered by an experienced Suzanne Neville seamstress, which cost an additional $900.

I am 112 pounds and 5'2. The dress was altered to fit a 4" heel with a 1" platform. The dress ordered was a size UK 14 (street size US 6) to accommodate a slightly larger bust (34 C or 34D). The dress was altered in the waist and hip area to fit a size US 4.
