The Dress

This is your chance to get a beautiful Hera Couture dress at an amazing price. It is a customised Della Pieta from Katie Yeung, Hera Couture. The Della Pieta bodice features ivory Venetian lace with lightweight boning to support your bust. From the waist, lace flows over six layers of the finest nude tulle, then flares out into a mid-length train.

The dress has never been worn. I bought it from Secret Lace in late 2019. The first owner had it made for her by Hera Couture but had to wear a different dress on her day because she fell pregnant. I was 10 weeks pregnant when I bought the dress for my own wedding (scheduled for late 2020). It fit almost perfectly when I bought it except for the straps and length. At the time I was in between a size 10 and size 12 in wedding dress sizes, and in between an 8 and a 10 street size. The only adjustments I was going to need to make were to shorten the straps (as can be seen in photo 2) and the overall length of the dress. However my post baby body has ended up much smaller and the adjustments that I would now need to make are quite significant. On top of that we've toned down our wedding plans (thanks to Covid) and are having a much smaller, more informal celebration (like less than 20 people!). I absolutely love this dress but with all the changes it would need and the change in the style of our day I feel my best option is to start again.

The Della retails at $4400. I paid $3400 for the dress. It has been well stored in a smoke free home and comes with the gown bag.

I will be travelling back and forth between Hawke's Bay and Auckland over the next few months so am happy to bring it up for people to try on if required.

Alterations

This version of the Della Pieta has tulle straps, tulle at the back so that the back has more support and coverage, and an insert of lace into the cleavage area so that the neckline is not so revealing.
