The Dress

Gorgeous wedding dress for a gorgeous goddess. Do you love simple luxuries? This dress feels and moves like a dream. Feel like an old-school silver screen queen!

I had this dress made by Linda Friesen (Google her, she's on Facebook!) as an alternative wedding dress. It was never worn (except to try on and for the photos on this listing) and now it's available for you!

I'm 5'4", and the measurements were made for a 36" bust and a 30" waist. I was 135-138 lbs when it was made and am now 128-130 lbs with a 34-35" bust and a 28-29" waist. It was made to fit like a glove, and indeed there are 1-2" of ease on me at this point.

The skirt is 24" from the bottom of the waist hem/sew line, and is quite flattering. It is a full skirt requiring a petticoat which is not included in this listing. It could also use a Lolita petticoat (vs. a standard petticoat) for a full, bell/cupcake silhouette. Linda's work was first based off of Lolita inspired fashion, which was what initially drew me to her designs.

Dress is fully lined and finished. Skirt used 4.5 meters of material. Dress is made of silk. Belt/tie is included for around the waist.

Concealed, deep POCKETS!!! are designed into the dress. There's ample room for a cell phone, lipstick, key, whatever you might need on your special day.

**Please regard the photographs carefully. I examined the dress today (after photography and upon listing) and have found a few slight imperfections in the silk, which is simply due to the nature of the fabric. Again, this frock was never worn beyond 10 minutes of trying on, and 20 minutes of photography. It was however, in a house with a clean cat, and though I have lint-rolled and will do so again before shipping, you might find a stray hair. Also, I suggest having the dress steamed and professionally pleated before wearing. I had it stored folded up for 9 months, and needed to steam it before the photography in order to smooth it.*
