The Dress
The wedding was a glittering glamorous cocktail event at the toaster building right on sparkling Sydney Harbour so the dress had to sparkle too.
I chose a sophisticated, elegant, yet sparkling, simple floor length gown, with train, from Karen Willis Holmes at David Jones Bridal.
Karen Willis Holmes still designs very similar gowns, this is a sophisticated classic that will not date.
The train gave the gown some drama without getting in the way. It Has a bustle that can be lifted and attached. The gown also comes with an adjustable belt and a long simple veil.
I was a slim-hipped size 8 and 32DD. There is some boning in the bodice but no padding.
The gown was dry cleaned and boxed Immediately afterwards by the very best bridal specialists - Blue and White dry cleaners in Neutral Bay and has not been out of the box since.
Available to try on in Neutral Bay.
Alterations
David Jones Bridal tailored it slightly in the bodice. It easily be tailored again.
