The Dress

I knew this beautiful gown was “the one” the moment I tried it on. My mother and I looked at each other and started crying as it was the most stunning dress we had ever seen. I have never felt so beautiful as I did wearing this custom-designed dress on my wedding day.

This dress is hand-crafted by one of the best in the industry – Brad Webb, from Darb Bridal Couture in Brisbane. Brad is an international award-winning dress designer and this beautiful dress called “Peony” was the standout from his 2018 Spring Collection.

As I floated down the aisle on my wedding day, there was not a dry eye in the crowd as everyone was in awe of this masterpiece. This custom-made gown will make you feel beautiful and look like a true bride. The hand-stitched peach-coloured peonies and accompanying green and blue flowers/leaves are so delicate and create a unique twist on the traditional ivory wedding dress.

This dress fitted me to perfection. I am 163cm short, with a petite waist a size C-D cup and a little broad shouldered. This dress was the most flattering design I tried on after many months of hunting across other stores in Queensland. The A-line skirt and structured bodice were the perfect complement to my body shape and type. I wore 10cm block heels on the day and this dress was very easy to dance, walk and move in.

A unique and unforgettable dress. I am selling it because I just don’t have the space to keep this gown and I would love someone else to get as much love and enjoyment out of her as I did.

Strapless bodice in off-white silk with floral silk embroidered Italian tulle overlay, satin-lined and fitted to the body with invisible back zip. A full skirt joins bodice at lower waist with five fabric layers, including silk embroidered tulle, fine plain tulle, silk organza, silk taffeta and satin blend.

Condition
Overall condition is very good with some small wear marks at hem line/side seam of some underneath layers, including slight imperfections to the bottom edge of tulle layers that can be trimmed.

Other details to note
The dress can be worn with or without a petticoat. I decided to wear a petticoat designed by Kaye West - three layers of tulle with a cotton lining against the body, lace trims (size S) RRP $360. Perfect condition with no imperfections. Will sell separately for $150.

I also had a matching floor length veil designed and made by Brad Webb using the same Italian tulle in my dress. The veil is included in the purchase price RRP$300. Small hole towards end (unnoticeable but could be trimmed). Will sell separately for $150.

Cleaning
Professionally dry cleaned by Darb Bridal Couture’s preferred choice, Leon’s Fine Dry Cleaning, East Brisbane on [removed] and stored in a new dress bag supplied by them. Receipt for cleaning available on request.

Dress and petticoat also come with original Darb Couture dress bags and hangers.
