Alterations

  • I am short (5 feet even), my heels were 4 inches, (you can see in the video) so I had to have the length taken, but I wore pretty tall shoes because I didn't want to sacrifice the mermaid style
  • Meaning you can get away with this dress at 5’4 in flats, or for the shorties like me, use a sturdy tall heel
  • The bustle is an American style bustle, and it sits perfectly mid leg, like behind the knee, as it was customized slightly for height purposes
  • I also had cups sewn in to increase the bust a little bit
  • I am a 32DD normally, but needed a little lift ;) so the cups helped
  • I'm certain these could be removed if desired
  • Those were the only alterations I had done
  • Nothing on the waist or train or top otherwise
  • Beautiful and sexy in subtle ways!

Ideal for hourglass figure! Here's the designer's formal description: The most innocent femininity is embodied in a dress with this suggestive proposition in embroidered tulle with beading. A mermaid design, fitted at the natural waist, intended to emphasize the figure, accentuating suggestive silhouettes. The spectacular sweetheart neckline with a deep V marks the bodice and blends with a hip covered with thread-embroidered flowers that disappear on the lower part of the skirt, which flares out in tulle godets in front.

I am absolutely obsessed with this dress... it was comfortable and I felt like a princess barbie all night. The back is a zip up but has the look of buttons up the entire back. The dress currently has not been cleaned, so it will need cleaning from normal wear and tear through the evening and a small fix to the bustle from one loop that very slightly pulled. Because it still needs cleaning, so I've lowered the price of the dress to factor in that cost. I will consider cleaning and fixing bustle (pic available) before sending to you, but would discuss price adjustment if that is preferred. Happy to send more photos upon request!
