The Dress

I was looking for a fit and flare or sheath silhouette with a unique looking lace that would jive with our outdoor wedding. I had tried on so many dresses that I hated and finally at my fifth store the lady helping me slipped this one into the dressing room. Once I had it on I instantly fell in love with the netting pattern and the scalloped edge on the train. The lace also has added subtle touch of shimmer with translucent sequins sewn through out. They are awesome at catching the light without have a bling effect that I was trying to avoid. I absolutely love the back of the dress. From the waist up the back has the same lace pattern as the rest of the dress but it is sheer. Also the back has buttons that’s trail all the way down the train to the hem. I instantly knew I had to have this dress and decided to blow past my dress budget.

I purchased the dress in April 2019 and our wedding was in August of 2019 at Chebeague Island in Maine. I was worried about traveling with the dress, but once I got to the island the dress had traveled amazing and hadn’t wrinkled at all so I didn’t even need to steam it. This dress was extremely comfortable all evening, from walking down the porch stairs to the ceremony, sitting/eating during our lobster bake, through our portraits on the beach and dancing to end the day.

The dress color is listed as Ivory lace with Sand lining. I purchased a size 8 to best fit my bust. I had the waist and hips taken in to fit. Also I had a bustle added. The dress is very light so only 1 bustle loop was necessary.
I am 5'5" as noted in the measurements and wore flats all evening.
