Vivienne Westwood, Ball Tie in Double Georgette

If you haven’t heard of Vivienne Westwood, to give you a brief summary, she is a legendary British fashion designer who started off designing clothes for the iconic punk band, the Sex Pistols and through her designs brought punk fashion into the mainstream. Since then, there is an endless list of celebrities that have worn her dresses on the red carpet. Her bridal range is relatively new with gowns that are similar to the silhouettes of traditional 18th century tailoring but with an eccentric and rebellious twist.

I of course, absolutely love this dress! Vivienne Westwood is the absolute dream! What I love about the design is that it's so feminine and classic but at the same time feels very alternative / cool!

I don't have much of a waist but the dress has an inbuilt corset which really accentuates your figure for a more hourglass look. The corset is quite tight at first but then moulds to your shape as it heats up and there is also no need for a bra - woohoo! The corset made my posture better so I felt very statuesque like a Greek goddess. The fabric is a much lighter weight than it looks which was perfect for me as I was worried about getting too hot. The dress has a very slight train at the back so still very easy to dance in.

My favourite part is that the straps are interchangeable so you can change the style of the dress from strapless to halter to off-shoulder then to a side bow - I'm happy to show you all the different ways. I loved having a different look between the ceremony to the dinner then dancing.

I'm approx. 175 cm tall and wore quite large wedges so I was probably about 185 cm tall on the day. The dress has been dry-cleaned but it is in a used condition - there is slight discolouring along the bottom inside of the dress however this could easily be taken up.

The dress comes with all the original packaging. I am based near Notting Hill and would prefer pick up in person to check you are happy with the dress and to make sure funds are received at the same time too!
