Alterations

  • I had a few alterations to ensure it fit perfectly; I am 167 cm (5.5/6 inches) and I wore 4-inch heels
  • The slip was taken in slightly around the bum but otherwise, it was left as a size 12
  • The overlay was taken in in all areas except or the hips/stomach area
  • Bustle and clips added so I could shorten the dress after the ceremony and it wouldn’t drag along the floor so much -clips added to the top of the dress so that it connected the slip to the overlay and didn’t allow the slip to fall down
  • I had the dress professionally cleaned and it looks great
  • However, as the slip is made of silk there are some very faint stains right at the bottom where it dragged along the ground
  • This will not show with the overlay on the top
  • There is a tiny rip in the overlay, again right at the bottom
  • Again, this will not notice at all
  • Happy to share photos of this to prospective buyers

About the Dress

This is the dress for a carefree, effortless bride. It is bohemian yet sophisticated in style and is comfortable to wear. It moves easily with the body and the fact the slip is shorter at the front, balances out the high neck of the dress but also makes it easy to walk in, even though the dress is technically floor length.

I felt amazing in this dress. It is so unique but also classic. It is the perfect balance between a ceremony dress and a party dress. It can be worn as a bohemian style dress but I went for more of a Hollywood glamour look to show off my curves.

The dress features an off-white beaded tulle overlay with fringing and embroidery which sits over a white silk slip. I am also including the off-white veil in the price which features a comb clip to fix into the hair.

The overlay and slip were originally size 12 but I had them altered for more of a snug fit around my curves so they are now more of a size 10-12. However, they were not adjusted around my stomach and hips area.

I paid $3,650 + $250 for the veil which I had made to go with the dress. I am selling them both.
