About the Dress

I bought the Allira dress from Mariana Hardwick in March 2018 for my wedding in November 2018. I love this dress as it feels amazing on. I love the ornate sequins and the side split which allowed me to move freely around on the day. The top of the dress is a wrap style with a V-shaped front and back, the dress feels like a perfect balance between 'party' and elegance, the weight of the dress was not heavy but was weighted enough for the dress to drape over the body beautifully, with a flowing train at the back.
The dress is a size 14 (normally I'm a size 12), with only minor alterations made. All alterations were professionally completed at the Mariana Hardwick store in Brunswick, minor alternation of the waistline, altered the straps to raise the bust line (I wanted less cleavage than how it was designed to sit). I had the flared sleeves removed from the dress, and had a clear button with fabric loops added to the lower back so you can gather the train to keep it off the floor post ceremony, instead of carrying around the train or dragging the dress.
The dress has been professionally dry cleaned post the wedding and looks like new.
I'm 170cm tall, and wore 6cm heels on the day.
