About the Dress

**Bought from another bride on Still White a few months ago, but I made an error converting inches to CM and it is too short for me! The dress would suit someone who is 165cm or less, depending on shoes. The original description is pasted below:**

The Story The Lewis Gown is an elegant, form-fitting silhouette featuring a deep V back and dramatic train. The thin straps add a delicate touch to this 100% silk crepe gown. Off White.

There are some tiny spots that did not come out in dry cleaning around the hem. These would be cut off if you hem the dress but they are also not noticeable (will send photos on request).

Alterations Dress was a size 4. No alterations were made to the lower half fit, so it is still a size 4. The upper portion was altered to a 2.

Alterations were beautifully done by Giovanni of Italy Custom Tailoring in Yorkville, Toronto, ON at a cost of USD$400.

Details - Alterations were made to the straps and sides to have a tighter fit than you see in the model photos (which are quite baggy and not super pratical). No changes were made the bust lines, but cups were added. I'm a 32b, and you could remove and replace the cups I had put in and there would be room for atleast a 34b - Hemmed the dress (kept the long train) I am 5'5 and wore an inch heel. - Added a traditional bustle (for dancing) and two loops to carry on my wrist (good for temporarily moving around quickly). There's also a tear in the inner seam that can easily be fixed by a tailor (see photos). I can also provide more photos upon request.
