Alterations

  • The skirt (including the train) was hemmed to be floor-length for me
  • I am 5'4'' and was wearing shoes with a 1-inch heel for a 5'5'' full height
  • The alterations did not hem the bottom of the lace layer of the skirt, so as you can see from the pictures the lace is completely intact
  • I wore the skirt very high on my waist (1.5 inches above my belly button) but the skirt can be worn lower, in which case it will cover a taller height

About the Dress

From Grace Loves Lace: "The Grace Loves Lace Sia gown is a gorgeous ivory two-piece wedding dress made from Italian tulle and stretch French lace. Handmade in Australia for the modern, unique bride."

The top is made with beautifully detailed stretch lace with cap sleeves. The bottom has three layers: a short, non-see-through skirt with lace details in the front, a long layer of beautiful French Lace, and a long layer of Italian tulle.

The first photo is of a Grace Loves Lace model wearing the Sia. The second photo is me on my wedding day wearing the Sia. The third and fourth photos were taken a couple days after the wedding, after both the top and bottom were carefully hand-washed in cold water following instructions from Grace Loves Lace.

The dress is in excellent condition, and there are no rips or stains. The skirt was altered to remove the train and fit my height, so please check the Alterations section to make sure this will work for your height. Comes in the original Grace Loves Lace box.

The two piece is very stretchy, so I think it will be able to accommodate a size up or down, depending on your proportions (the bottom is a lot more forgiving than the top, although the top is stretchy too).
