About the Dress

The Hermia gown was part of the Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired bridal collection by Jenny Packham. I purchased the dress from the flagship Jenny Packham store at Carlos Place, Mayfair, London on 6th October 2018. It was altered slightly at the waist and length by the Jenny Packham seamstress at a cost of £350. I wore it for my own wedding on 25th October 2018.

The dress comes in the original Jenny Packham branded packaging including the hanger, plastic cover, dress bag and large white JP bag. I also have the original purchase documents in a branded folder, including receipts and dress swatch, if you would like them included.

Since my own wedding I have had the dress professionally dry cleaned at a cost of £200. There are no marks on the dress, although there are a couple of small holes in the netting at the very end of the hem, which are not noticeable but could easily be repaired or removed when taking up the length. As far as I can see, there are no missing beads.

This dress was the first I tried on and nothing else ever came close. It was a dream to wear - so light and easy to move in and exquisitely hand-beaded. It has a keyhole back but cut high enough that you can still wear a strapless bra. I can honestly say that, above anything else, it was this dress that made me feel most beautiful on my wedding day. I received so many compliments - it's such a flattering shape, nipped in at the waist and skimming over the hips with a beautiful small train. The dress catches the light in such a magical way, it is absolute perfection.

I will be terribly sad to part with my dress but I know that I will not have another chance to wear it and I'd love for it to be worn, loved and cherished by someone else for their own special day - perhaps you might even pass it on again too.
