Oscar de la Renta

This dress is elegant, clean, chic and timeless. It’s made from a very heavy silk with lots of beautiful netting to give a good size skirt. As always with de la Renta, it’s all about the cut and the detail and the bustle at the back sets this dress entirely apart (and similar To a 2018 design). There’s also a detail on the sweetheart neck which makes it feel more elegant than a standard neck.

The quality of the material and the craftsmanship is so clear when you’re wearing it as it feels substantial and it looks expensive. The material is truly second to none. I got the belt made separately as I wanted something that accentuated the waist, but didn’t want anything jewelled as I wanted something chic and clean.

It’s a lovely cream colour which works perfectly for a winter wedding (which I had) as well as a summer one. It’s lightly boned, but not so it looks like a corset, just so that the fit is perfect.

I changed after the champagne reception, so I only wore the dress for a couple hours, so the hem is pretty perfect without any damage.
