About the Dress

¨¨I purchased this beautiful gown in Mia Sposa in Newcastle upon Tyne, and I hope that it will bring much joy to a new bride to be. ¨¨

The gown is a light ivory in colour and consists of a base (possibly satin), lace overlay and matching lace bolero. I had the sleeves altered from bell style cuffs to straight ones.

The delicate lace overlay is adorned with glass beads, sequins and pearls and has a very vintage feel to it. ¨¨At the rear of the gown, a sturdy zipper is hidden by a row of beautifully beaded buttons which are held in place by elasticated loops. The loops ensure that the fastening disappears and all that is visible are the decorative buttons.

¨¨Inside the gown, you will find it is fully boned with cups and a bra-style fastening (hook and eye). The straps that fasten around your back really make this dress feel secure.
