Alterations

  • This dress is FR size 38 or a UK 10
  • But the waist and hips were slightly taken in to make it more fitted so it is more of a UK 8-10
  • The panel of material across the bust was also widened by 1 cm (from top to bottom) to give more coverage, so this will fit brides with a bigger bust as well (I am a 32DD)
  • I am 5ft3 and wore 5inch platform heels and the dress rested on the floor at the front with some material to spare
  • The train was also slightly shortened to make it easier to walk (and dance!) in
  • All alterations were made by The London Fitting Rooms who specialise in couture and luxury fashion and who The Mews Bridal use for all their dresses http://www.londonfittingrooms.com/
  • The dress has been professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress specialist and is in excellent condition
  • The only thing to note is that there are a couple of small marks around the hemline, and the lace on the under-arm seam was slightly frayed but this has been professionally repaired and now looks as good as new

This 'Olsen' gown is one of Rime's most iconic designs. Cut from white crepe and French Calais lace at the designer's workshop in Paris, it has a couture 1970's style combined with graphic modern cuts.
It is panelled with stunning French lace to flatter your waist, shoulders and back. With a delicate figure-hugging floor-length silhouette with subtle train, a stunning statement open back, pretty button fastenings at the back and long sleeves that V over the hands.
