Morilee

I purchased this dress for a New Year’s Eve wedding and fell in love with it for how the material truly shimmers and knew that it would be stunning for our candlelit wedding. Before finding the dress I had been to six different boutiques and did not love anything that I was trying on in spite of trying on tons of designer dresses, and with a willingness to pay the hefty price for one. My bridal party who had been with me for my initial dress shopping experience also attended this one and everyone was blown away when I tried this dress on. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the dress was $1,599 (originally $1,899) because it felt every bit as good as any couture designer dress that I had tried so I ordered it.

This dress has a light nude lining and ivory overlay which further accentuates the shimmery material. The deco metallic embroidery design lends a unique appeal while maintaining a classic form.
I am not wearing this dress to my wedding because they ordered it in the longest length of 61″ and I am only 5’1″ and was concerned that too severe of alterations would ruin the integrity of the dress. Due to the long wait time once the dress was ordered I would not have had time to find something else by the time it came in and was altered and was not willing to risk it. The dress is a size 3/4 and it is quite large on me, but I am a street size 0. This was simply the size that they suggested ordering. I assume that it is pretty true to size for a true street size 3/4, but to be safe I would assume that it is a street size 2 and have it altered accordingly.

I did purchase a crystal sash and was planning on having the straps replaced to add additional sparkle and it looks amazing with the dress if you are interested in doing the same. On “sale” it was $299 and some of the crystals are a little loose but they assured me that it was an easy fix for whoever was handling the alterations, which of course never occurred.
