Original ivory/cream lace & satin wedding dress by Auckland designer, Susan Tasker.
Unique and beautiful design - have not seen another dress like it.
Worn only once for our wedding in Jan 2012 and professionally dry-cleaned after the wedding. Has been hanging up in a dress bag in our spare room since then - still in excellent condition.

Bodice has very intricate & delicate lace - each floral piece of lace was carefully cut-out and sewn onto the bodice by the designer, creating a beautiful effect - the floral designs wrap around the bust and flow around the back of the dress. The same floral lace pieces have been placed on the delicate straps - extending up from the bust towards the shoulder and also on the back of the straps, coming down the back into a 'V' with zipper & fastening. The dress has a gathered waist band in a slightly darker cream satin. The front of the dress is a sweetheart bust. The bodice is fitted around the bust, has been strengthened and has boning to make it stay upright & fairly stiff (with room for movement of course).

The dress is A-line in style, falling from the waist, graciously around the hips and butt, to finish just above the ground (so I could walk around our farm venue!). The length can probably be shortened. I am about 168cm plus 4cm heels.

The dress was made to fit my small waist & bust, plus large hips & butt, so the bodice would be about size 8 and the dress (below waist) would fit size 10-12.

I am happy to include my veil (made to match the dress, from the same fine gauze that was used for the straps of my dress) and small bridal bag (also made to match the dress - from the same satin & lace used in the dress) with sale of the dress.

I absolutely LOVED my dress and had a fabulous time wearing it on our beautiful wedding day. Although I am sad to part with it, I would rather know that someone else can get some joy from wearing it on their special day, than watch it deteriorate in my wardrobe over the coming years.
