  • My height is 169cm and had it taken up to me wearing 10cm heels

About the Dress

Karen Willis Holmes size 12 ‘Fontanne’ used and only slightly altered for sale. It has been professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress dry clean specialist which has additionally cost $250 to do so.

Alterations have been made to this dress with the back beinglowered into a low V back around to the mid back and bust pads sewed in for support. It will also be taken up as I am 169cm tall and will be wearing 10cm heels so not by too much it will be taken up only at the front but the train has been kept as is, just made evenly cut to flow with the front. A button bustle has also been sewed in as it is a very heavy train it requires a button and a small not noticeable at all ribbon that my bridal dressmaker did. The belt part I also changed so it is a clip in belt and not tie up with ribbon which can easily be adjusted dependent on your waist size.

I spent $550 on alterations on top of the cost so overall around $4200 spent.
Other than the above it will pretty much be the same style of dress just used. I am wearing a second dress at the reception so the dress should be kept in good condition after the wedding.

I bought the stunning Karen Willis Holmes Fontanne dress in December 2017 at the Alexandria store in Sydney and It is only one of 27 of these dresses made by the designer in Australia.

The detail of this dress is divine and that is why I initially fell in love with this dress, plus it stands out with the sequining and beading, I felt fantastic in this dress and feel if you are either a size 12 or size 10 Australian this just fits you like a glove! I had the best day in this dress and I am sure you will as well!
