The Dress

I loved wearing this satin ivory dress with tulle embroidery overlay and small elegant train on my wedding day. It has an unusual upward curving neckline, which works particularly well if you are broad-shouldered like me. I also loved the big flower embroidery which was again a bit different, and it glittered in the sunshine. The corset back was flattering and provided a bit of give so I knew it would fit even if I changed shape a bit between getting the alterations done and the day itself. The dress is boned so it sits well on the torso and doesn't slip at all even though it is strapless.

The dress comes with an underskirt and detachable spaghetti straps which are included in the sale price. I dry-cleaned it straight after the wedding, but there are a few completely hidden marks. That includes small scuff marks on the underside of the satin skirt layer near the hem. These are not visible at all. There is also a very small mark on the front of the bodice. I have included a picture to show how minor it is (mark in middle of photo, on right petal of left-hand flower) that wouldn't show up on any photos of your day. There is also a completely hidden mark on the corset back which is covered by the satin corset ribbons.

Alterations

Waist and bust brought in slightly, hem raised as I'm 1.68m (5' 6"). I didn't make any major or structural alterations to the dress. I did add in a small loop on the back of the dress to create a bustle for dancing with the train tucked up out of the way.
