The Dress

It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my beautiful Melissa Sweet wedding dress. We were due to get married in May 2020, but due to the pandemic, our big wedding was cancelled and we chose to have a very small intimate wedding at the first opportunity we had that August instead. I therefore didn’t wear the dress as there were only 12 of us and it felt like such a waste!

The dress is beautiful, brand new and I have all the original paperwork that came with it and tags. It has had no alterations and can be worn on or off the shoulder. You can see in the pictures when I went for my original and then second dress fitting that it looks gorgeous either way. For reference I am 5ft 3 if you are considering the length.

The dress is a deep cream/ivory colour and was purchased from David’s Bridal in Watford. It is zip up at the back but has beautiful button detail hiding the zip.

Measurements as follows -

Bust 35 inches
Waist 29.5 inches
Hips 39 inches

It is a generous size 10. I fluctuate between a 10/12 and I was on the heavier side when I first tried the dress the day I purchased it. It is generous over the hips and falls away to give you a gorgeous silhouette with a beautiful train behind it.

I am also selling the veil pictured should you be interested. This is also brand new and hasn’t even been removed from the packaging.

I really hope someone will purchase this dress as it needs to be worn. I’m just sad it won’t be me! It is a beautiful dress and I hope it’ll make another bride feel like a million dollars. Happy shopping, thanks for looking and I hope you find your perfect dress.
