The Dress

This is a gorgeous dress. Never worn as fell pregnant (unexpectedly but wonderfully) so had to get a different one to fit a rather large growing bump and boobs!

Felt like a very modern, stylish princess in this! All the glamour. For me, I think this suits a modern venue or stately home style of venue.

It is style Erin 12133 designed by Madeline Gardner at Morilee. Has a STUNNING LEG SPLIT! We had the leg split tacked very slightly lower than designed for my own comfort. Also had buttons added all the way to the bottom of the train (this was an additional cost of £150 for all the buttons).

Purchased in a size 14 and altered to fit me at a size 12 (pretty average size 12).

Train can be hooked up onto the buttons, and there are two additional hooks at the back of the dress to also be hooked over the buttons to pull the sides of the train in (the 2 sides go first and then the middle one last).

Sweetheart neckline but slightly more 'pointed' than a traditional rounded sweetheart.

I also have a veil that is fingertip length, clear and plan with simple silk trim. Happy to sell this with this too! Would sell for £80 (again never worn and RRP £130).

We had a wonderful wedding in a dress that was good for me and bump. And I just want this dress to go to a new home and for someone to have as wonderful a wedding as us, in the dress that didn't get to go to the ball!!

Alterations

Purchased as a wedding dress size 14. Was altered to my size (pretty average size 12). Also, on original, the buttons only go half way down the back, we added buttons to go all the way down the back. Also the left split was tacked very slightly lower than designed, as for me it was a tiny bit too high. Could easily be untacked to original split height.
