The Dress

Stunning petite Berta Bridal 20-14 wedding dress with long sleeves, open
low back, fitted bodice, and a full skirt made from a mix of fabrics and hints of sparkle throughout.

The dress also has an optional trail which makes it super versatile. I chose to keep the trail open whilst walking down the aisle and taking some wedding photos but then had it tucked in which transformed the dress into a ball gown style for the evening party to make moving around easier.

This dress is absolutely stunning. Everyone complimented it, saying it was the most beautiful dress they could have ever imagined. The dress sparkles like no other and although it was photographed so beautifully, it is even more breathtaking in person. It was my absolute dream wedding dress and I feel so lucky to have worn it.

This dress was shipped to me from overseas during the Covid 19 pandemic. Alterations were made to fit my petite 5 ft 2 frame. I wore 4.3 inch heels on my wedding day.

There is 1 inch of material folded over in the bottom of the dress so there is the option to increase the length if you are slightly taller than me. There is also approximately 3 inches of spare material which can also be added onto the dress although this would require additional tailoring.

This dress was dry cleaned before being shipped to me and was worn with care on my wedding day (we were blessed with sunny weather and the dress is still in lovely condition).

There is a small imperfection in the underarm where an extra layer of tulle fabric was added to fix a small tear. That being said, no one is going to notice the minor imperfection because of where it is and also because the dress has so much sparkle and detail that the imperfection hides/blends in easily.

This dress will be ideal for a petite woman with a UK Size 6 body type.

I chose not to wear it with a veil but I am able to include a simple, elegant veil with the dress.

Alterations

The alterations were made by a specialist wedding tailor who cut the length (I wore 4.3 inch heels and am 5 ft 2 inches tall). The alterations alone cost £500 and great care was taken when handling the dress. Once altered, it fit like a glove. It is also worth noting, the neckline is very low and sheer so I put in an extra layer of sheer fabric to make the low neckline slightly less sheer.

There was also a very very small tear in the underarm of the sleeves which the tailor concealed.
