The Dress

This gorgeous gown has mermaid flamenco flare, fitted on the bodice with luscious tiers of fabric cascading on an angle to the dance floor. I bought a size 12 for my 40 inch hips and had it tailored down to around a size 8. I wore it in 2010 and filled it out much better than I do now! I am 5’7” and a size 8, 140 lbs and currently it is a little loose in the hips and butt, so there is some wiggle room. I loosely added lace in the sweetheart front which can easily be removed (or I can remove it for you if you’d prefer.) There are also already small snaps sewn inside on either side of the bust for a snap-in piece I never owned. It was dry cleaned and lovingly stored in a keepsake box. Upon taking it out of the box for pictures I did find there are some slight stains on the bottom hem area of the inner unseen soft cotton liner. There is also some stiff crinoline in the skirt for added floof. I absolutely ADORE this dress, but after 12 years, it is finally time to say goodbye and go to the next beautiful señorita for her memorable wedding day.

Alterations

Altered in waist and bust to fit closer to an 8. I’m currently 36 inches in the bust and 29 in the waist and it still fits. There is even a little wiggle room.
