The Dress

New Willowby by Waters Dress. Purchased at Rituals of Love Bridal in Vancouver, BC.

I bought this for my Wedding in August of 2020, because of the pandemic we ended up having a small ceremony with family only. I ended up wearing my 95-year-old grandmother's wedding dress (as my mom had worn for her wedding as well.

I was planning to save this dress to renew our vows in a larger ceremony setting. However, since then our plans have changed (we've purchased a home, so a larger ceremony is now off the table).

I am still in love with this dress and I will be sad to see it go. But hope that another bride will fall in love with it as I did.

Now you should know that I never thought of myself as someone who had the bride gene. but let me tell you when I put this dress on, I felt like a bohemian goddess. When I tried this dress on in the store I was instantly twirling, twisting, and swaying and knew that if I was going to get married and pick out my own wedding dress, this was going to be the one.

The dress has lace details with fringe throughout, as well as Fringe in the keyhole back. It has a soft inner shell, and I did not feel constricted in it. It has a small train in the back, which you could get pinned up behind to leave a cute fringe detail on the back. It fit me like a glove and I would not have needed to get any alterations to it.
