The Dress

This dress is gorgeous, timeless, and unique!

- I felt like a goddess in this dress all day!
- This dress CANNOT take a bad picture. It responded beautifully all day and night to changing lighting conditions and environments. The beads and subtle nuances of the dress delivered special moments for our photographer all day.
- Aside from being very special in appearance, it is also incredibly easy to wear, dance in, sit in, and use the restroom.
- Like its namesake suggests, is incredibly soft and lightweight for comfortable wearing all day.
- The front of the dress provides a modest shallow boat neckline with a narrow keyhole cutout and small caped sleeves in gorgeous semi-transparent beaded tulle over a sweetheart neckline.
- The back of the dress offers a dramatic deep V-shaped plunge to mid/lower back. While providing a bit of "Sexy Back," it also remains very classy and modest enough for the whole family.
- The skirt is a layered gauze-like tulle (same as bodice) in an A-line shape starting from the upper hip. The tulle flows softly as you walk and offers a small train.
- Intricate beading details the entire bodice and top part of the skirt. The beading is botanically inspired, with small leaves and stems trailing down across the upper skirt and across the shoulders to the bust line.
- Primary bead color is a transparent and glistening ivory. Bronze tinted beads provide a stunning accent to stem and leaf details.
- Dress also has a beaded belt with a beaded bow (bow is pictured above on the model in photo #1. I removed the bow for my wedding day in place of a back tie belt with bronzed beads and flowers. One of the cool things about this dress is how you can modify the aesthetic with this simple modification).
- The dress is fully lined and closes with a zipper covered by beautiful fabric buttons up the back of the dress.
- I have a full bag of replacement beads, full spool of thread, and the belt bow that are are all original with the dress purchase. I also have a square 24in x 24in piece of tule (which could be used to make a small blushing vile) and the tule that was removed off the skirt for alterations. All of which will be provided with the purchase and are also original with the purchase.
- The dress is in excellent condition and has been dry-cleaned and treated to prevent yellowing. All stains and any major bead damage has been repaired.
- I counted 4 very minor places where a thread is a bit loose on the belt, all of which would be simple to fix.
- I also noted one small place on the bodice where about 4 beads could be added to cover a small gap where it appears a few beads are missing.
- Only a few of this style dress were provided to boutiques across the US and consequently it is very difficult to find for sale.
- Bonus is you are unlikely to know anyone else with this dress :)
- Dress has all original designer tags and lables.

Alterations

- Hemline of dress has been shortened by about 2.5 inches.
- Waist and bust of dress were also taken in a few inches and the shoulders were taken up a bit to fit my smaller frame.
- Bow of belt was removed as I opted for a tie belt for my special day (as noted above - is still have the bow and will provide with the purchase along with a bag of beads, spool of thread, and several pieces of tulle that are original with the dress purchase).
- The dress has been altered to bustle in the American Bustle style with 11 hooks positioned around the back of the skirt which hook small thread loops sewn to the lower skirt. This style of bustle provides a flowy and ethereal shape to the dress for dancing the night away.
- Cup pads were also added and could easily be removed if desired.
