The Dress

Beautiful lace wedding dress by Lela Rose ("The Canyon"). The Canyon is part of the 2018 collection, but I believe the bride before me had it made in 2021. This dress can be worn for any season! I wore it for a summer wedding and it was not too hot, but the bride who wore it before me wore it for a winter wedding! The Canyon is a timeless dress and I am so happy to have worn it on my wedding day. Hope another bride can wear it as well :)

Alterations

The dress was worn by a previous bride (before myself!), and had alterations made to the dress. She sold the dress to me with 32" bust, 26" waist, and 36" hips, hemmed to 5'6". The only thing that I changed was adding 4" of length to the hem as I am 5'6" and wore 4" heels. The previous bride had kept the excess fabric from when she had the dress hemmed shorter. My seamstress did amazing work and you can not see a seam where she added length! The dress was fitted, but comfortable. Additionally, the previous bride shared that all of the alterations she had done to the dress can be let out to accommodate different sizing if needed.

The previous bride also made changes to the neckline, changing it from a straight v-neck to a more scalloped neckline. I was hesitant at first because I loved the original dress, but it turned out beautiful!
