The Dress

I was NOT excited about going wedding dress shopping, but I was thrilled to find this dress at my last stop. It was my immediate favorite, and I hope someone else finds as much joy in it as I did.

This lacy dress with scalloped neckline is feminine and romantic without being fussy. I have a curvy, figure-8 shape to my 170 lb., 5'6" frame. The dress fit beautifully and only needed a few alterations (listed below).

This pick was perfect for my rustic, very intimate outdoor wedding in December. I added a faux fur wrap once the evening cooled, but until then, it was very comfortable in the mid-50's setting sun. The dress was worn for a maximum of 3 hours and has been professionally dry-cleaned.

Flaws:

There is one missing button at the very bottom of the back row of buttons. Apparently, I bought the dress this way and didn't even notice until the tailor picked up on it. There is a picture to show what it looks like.

The "eye" portion of the top clasp on the back is also missing. This must have happened post-wedding. There is a picture of this as well.

Alterations

The dress originally had very pointy breast cups, so tailor put in more rounded breast cups. Shoulders were pulled up and slightly shortened torso, and some length was taken off all layers at the bottom. I'm 5'6'' and was wearing flats. A bustling option was added in the back.
