The Dress
The Augustine gown is made from 100% silk and designed and made in Australia by Lola Varma.
Purchased from the the Lola Varma Melbourne showroom, this stunning gown made me feel modern and elegant with a touch of old world, Hollywood glamour. The quality silk fabric draped beautifully, making it easy to wear.
The dress was professionally dry-cleaned. There are some markings near the hem on the train but they are not obvious and these would be removed entirely if the hem was taken up.
The dress is currently being stored in a wedding dress storage box with tissue paper and comes with the original Lola Varma garment bag.
This dress made me feel so beautiful and elegant, I don't want it to sit in a box forever, I want it to make someone else feel the same way it made me feel.
Alterations
The dress was taken in to fit closer to a size 8 under the arms, around the waist and across the hips. A couple of inches was taken off the length. I am so 164 cm tall but I wore large, 10 cm tall platform heels.
