The Dress
The skirt of the gown is made of gorgeous Ivory silk taffeta with French Chantilly lace bodice, tulip-shaped sleeves and inset in the train. Finishing the V-shaped, scalloped-edge back is a large flat bow at the small of the back with two elegant, long sashes that are tacked to the edge of the taffeta and lace. The front of the bodice comes to a deep “V” beneath the lace at the chest, and the lace, “boat” neckline has a gentle scalloped edge. Delicate silk rosebuds ornament the lace.
Alterations
The waist was let out about 1.5” to allow the length of the dress to fall closer to the ground.
