The Dress

Kate Halfpenny Susie skirt worn over the elegant Iris Slip. The tulle Susie skirt is a real piece of art and features hand appliques which really stand out on top of the bias cut Iris slip.

The backless detail creates an alluring feel and the simplicity of the spaghetti straps perfectly balances the detailed skirt.

I knew immediately once I put this dress on that it was the one - I couldn't resist the urge to move and swirl around in the showroom and nothing else compared. I felt like the best version of myself; beautiful, elegant and cool, but also so relaxed and free to move.

The bias cut Iris slip beautifully skims the body, falling into a full skirt to provide depth and fullness at the hem. The Susie skirt is fitted at the smallest part of the waist and drapes to form a full skirt with a small train.

The front main and lining hemlines are mark-free. The only marks that would be visible when worn would be two small tonal marks at the front left-armhole which are not obvious. The dress has been dry-cleaned once but it may be possible to remove the remaining marks.

The Susie skirt is mark-free and gorgeous.

The dress would be ideal for someone who would prefer for the hem to be balanced removing the small train at the back hemline or for someone more petite in height (I'm 5' 8'') allowing for the length to be altered to suit perfectly, also removing the marks at the CB hem.
