The Dress
I got this dress from a friend of the original bride who wore it. As you can see, it is absolutely stunning. I never imagined I'd wear a couture designer gown on my wedding day, but the moment I tried it on, I knew it was meant to be. The ruffles are even more exquisite in person, and they bustle so you can really get down on the dance floor.
Alterations
The original bride who wore this dress was almost exactly my size, so alterations were minimal. The hips, waste and bustline were all brought in slightly, and an elastic belt was sown into the inside. It hugs your ribs in order to keep the dress from creeping down - an amazing feature! The dress also came with a beaded belt which I replaced with a piece of sheer fabric for a more simplistic look. I still have the original belt though, so it could be easily sown back on.
