The Dress

The most fun dress ever! I had the best day wearing this dress and would love for someone else to have as much fun as I did wearing it. The dress is fitted around the bodice with boning to maintain shape and french lace detailing and simple mesh side panels. It flows into a chiffon skirt with a cheeky split for a bit of fun (but nothing too short that you need to worry about on the day). It has a fun train on the back that isn't too long to worry about through the day.

The labelled sizing on this was strange when I purchased this dress. I'm a standard 8-10 on bottom and standard 10 on top. This dress would suit a 10-12 - the bust appears quite large (in my opinion). The original measurements were bust 100cm, waist 81cm, hips 108cm but I had it taken in a few cm around the waist. Because the bust is boned it did not matter that I didn't completely fill the bust area.

I'm 175cm tall and had it altered to my height wearing flats. I also had it taken in at the waist and added a bustle and button to pin the train up throughout the night. I'm happy to send more photos if you'd like to see more!

Alterations

I had the dress hemmed to my height wearing flats (I'm 175cm tall, I think the flats I wore were 1.5cm which dressmaker took into consideration). I also had the dress taken in slightly at the waist and a bustle added to pin the train up through the night.
