The Dress

Moira Hughes designed & made this stunning custom wedding dress for my wedding in May 2021.
I adore the dress but have decided to sell and buy a keepsake i can wear & hand down.
I never thought i could be so comfortable ina cathedral train wedding dress but it was. the dress, although uses SO muc fabric, is extremely lightweat, provides shape with corsetting but also just skims the body and is not too fitted.

The Fabric is a stunning raw silk, meaning it has not yet been polished. The fabric is great because it offers a soft sheen instead of it being overly shiny as other duchess fabrics. it is also lightweight and offers the perfect amount of structure and drape.

When I did the design for this dress with Moira, i wanted something modern, slightly etherial but also timeless - if that is your style and you fit a standard size 10 it is perfect for you.

The dress is corsetted with bra cups, back is button fastened for more support than a zipper. The cathedral hem has a thin Cryolin band to assist with billowy for photos.

The bodice has been hand draped and is extremely flattering.

I wear a standard size 10 in ALL brands - I wear a standard bra size of 10B-C. and there was still a little room for me to breath so i felt far from restricted.

The dress has been fully dry cleaned, twice and is currently boxed & wrapped in tissue.
There is a faint stain on the underside of the hem, that cannot be seen uless held up to the light, and is not notibale on the body as its underneath and the train will be draped/overlapped on the ground.
