The Dress

I would love for another bride to make beautiful memories in my Katie May Poipu dress! What made me feel special as soon as I put this on is the stunning open back! This dress is simple, elegant, beautiful and felt just right for my beachfront wedding.

This dress has oblong triangle cups in the front and thin spaghetti straps. It is fully lined and has an invisible zip closure in the back. It features beautiful lace all over with a silk underlay. The silk underlay underneath the ivory lace has a soft rose pink hue; however this is very subtle and the dress photographs as ivory. The dress has scalloped lace around the cups, open back and train (see photos). It has a modest train, see photos.

I am 5 feet 6.5 inches tall (I wore 4 inch heels with this dress), 135 pounds and wear a 34B bra size. I recommend double-sided tape to keep the triangle cups in place. I have gone conservative on the measurements provided since I would rather the dress be a little big and you need to get it taken in, rather than too small and unworkable.

Katie May made this custom for my size, the top is a size Small and the bottom half of the dress is a size Medium. In other clothes, I normally wear between a US 4 or 6.

In alternations, we added a subtle hook and loop to the back. You can use the loop around your finger when you walk to keep your train off the floor, or can attach to the hook for dancing! Happy to answer more questions about this.

The dress has been dry cleaned twice. It was last worn in 2019 and since then it has been in plastic, in a garment bag, in a plastic storage container. This dress is in great condition with normal minor signs of wear and has been stored with love.

Alterations

Adjusted for my height. I am 5 feet 6 inches and I wore 4 inch heels with this dress.

Added a small subtle hook in the back to pin the train of the dress up for dancing!
