The Dress

St Pucchi Sposa customised couture gown - purchased in the USA where it retailed for $4,390. I loved it because it combined pieces of all the things I'd loved on other dresses - keyhole back, lace, silk, a flattering neckline and a skirt that felt 'special'. The lace is genuinely beautiful and really only something you'd see on a couture gown like this.

The reason I customised some of the elements (see alterations section) was to make it more 'one of a kind' and more in line with what I wanted. The belt really helps visually cinch in the waist and creates a very flattering shape.

The StillWhite valuation for this dress based on year, make, retail value and condition was about £900. The reason I'm listing it for less is because I know it needs to be dry cleaned. The wedding was outdoors, and there are some resulting stains on the hem (please see last pic - this is the worst of it). I am 5ft5in, though, and was wearing very, very tall heels, and the dress was still long on me. I do think someone of average height would need to have the dress hemmed considerably anyways, and hemming would basically remove all the stains.

This dress really is very, very beautifully made. I took it to a couture specialist tailor when I had my fitting alterations done (adding belt, broach, etc), so all of it has been done at the highest quality level possible.

I felt beautiful in it and I loved it, but unfortunately I am moving to a small flat and don't have closet space for it. I hope another bride can enjoy it and feel beautiful in it.

Alterations

Removed silk flowers from original version (https://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/dresses/view/86054/St-Pucchi-Z195-Size-10), added vintage broach to the top of the skirt and added a BHLDN belt.
