The Dress

A uniquely modern neckline paired with a traditional silhouette by a local Brisbane designer.

I love how the structured neckline is a fusion of off-shoulder, V-neck and sweetheart accentuated by the lustrous satin fabric. The boned and fitted bodice securely shaped my love handles and the corset back allows for resizing throughout the night. The dress comes with a sewn-in petticoat that ensures the chapel train flows beautifully at any angle. Light and shadow are highlighted in the drape of the skirt, giving the dress a dynamic effect throughout the day. The overall effect was chic and structured yet unmistakeably feminine.

Bought the dress as a size 10 in 2020 but still easily fit me as a size 12 in 2021. The corset back helps with accommodating a wide variety of body shapes. Despite the fitted bodice and ballgown-like skirt, it was comfortable to wear and manoeuvre in. Felt fantastic on the day and I didn't have to worry about unflattering poses - the dress basically poses for you and it looks even better in person.

Also comes with matching modesty panel for the V-neck opening. This allows for two levels of adjustable height to add another styling option. The 'sleeve' ribbon comes with a wide elastic band underneath. It comfortably held the ribbon in place and does not slip.

Dry-cleaned immediately after the wedding day. The dress has always been stored in a dress bag in an odour and pet-free home.

Alterations

The 'sleeve' ribbon was taken in to fit as it came with an excess amount of fabric. However I have wide shoulders so there is still ample room.

Added button bustle and wrist loop.
