The Dress
I went to Kleinfeld in the city and this was the second dress I tried on and fell absolutely in love. The woman told me it was couture and was featured on the runway in Millan and i instantly knew why I loved it so much! It is made with a woman's body in mind and is extremely comfortable to wear! It appears white from afar, but up close the fabric has creme/pink sparkles all over (like in the fabric, it won't come off!). The train is very dramatic and has a nice bustle when it is time to party. It is also elegant with a bit sexy to it. I felt like an absolute beauty in this dress and all of the guests said the dress was so unique, gorgeous and stunning. It just needs to be dry cleaned for any makeup that stuck to the inside of the dress. Ping me with any questions!
Features:
-secure comfortable straps
-v-neck for the perfect amount of cleavage
-sewn in cups for breast support
-natural waist that hugs the waist (instead of cutting into it)
-open back that ends at waist
-v cutouts on the sides, these cutouts have nude mesh for comfort, they aren't really visible when your arms are at your sides and are a nice surprise detail when you lift your arms, plus they made me feel a tad sexy
-back closure: two cute little buttons and a hidden zipper
-skirt has a nice medium fullness (a-line, not princess) with layers of fabric so the dress has beautiful texture and is not see through: the bottom layer that touches your legs is silky and cool, then layers of the sparkly blush fabric that looks like the fabric version of bubbly champagne, and then a top layer of very thin white tulle that adds a princess feel (cut away in front)
-hem kisses the ground as someone who is 5'2" and wore 2.75 inch heels
-white floral appliques with beading/pearls
-very flattering, very easy to wear
Alterations
The gown's original neck line was a deep v-cut. The designer made this one with a modified neckline, 2 inches higher than originally designed.
My alterations process was pretty standard especially for a petite bride. The waist was brought in some so that it fit snugly. The straps were slightly shortened. The hem was altered to hit at floor length. They also adjusted the cups to fit my B/C size properly.
